Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15, 1961) was an American actress. Known for her work in TV and film in the 1980s, she's won numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was brought up in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt following her birth in New York New York, is an acclaimed actress. As Bassett was around five, she and her sister were moved from the city of St. Petersburg, Florida where they lived with their mother who was divorced from their father. Bassett chose to become an actress after she saw the production Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. In 1980, Bassett was graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with a degree in African American studies. She earned a diploma from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale In 1997, they got married. Qualification: B.A. the Yale School of Drama granted a Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett in 1980. She was a student at the institutions that she attended: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for 7th graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th and 9th grades in addition to Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her lead characters, Ramonda, in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
